Clutches - Standard
Small car clutches are simple in construction and small in size. They consist of a pressure plate, clutch disc and release bearing.
Medium to large car clutches have to be capable of handling more load and force. They are larger in size and can also be designed to operate with a dual mass flywheel.
B & R Brakes- Castle Hill stock the Clutch Industries brand of standard clutch.
Fitting of a clutch is a minimum of 4 hours work for cars where the gear box is easy to remove and refit. 4WD’s and other vehicles where the gear box removal is more complex, installation can take 10-15 hours.
Standard clutches are priced from as little as $90 through to $2000. Kits will include the relevant flywheel and slave cylinder.
Clutches - Performance
There are a variety of performance clutches available. The options include increased clamp load of the pressure plate, different material on the clutch plate, going from single to dual plate design or changing the pressure plate and clutch plate construction.
Most performance clutches are the same shape of your current clutch, so can easily be fitted to your vehicle with no modification to your flywheel.
